It is our great pleasure to formally invite you from your institution to join the 3rd edition of Beirut International Model United Nations conference for a unique cultural and educational experience.
BEYMUN is a student-run annual conference held at the American University of Beirut. Its mission is to introduce college students from all around the world to the inner workings of the United Nations.
For three years now, BEYMUN has been simulating various committees and addressing prevailing topics. The conference has aimed to foster a generation of world-class leaders and engage students in high-level debates to come up with practical solutions to modern-day issues.
In times of global unrest and worldwide insecurity, students crave a platform to discuss the problems our world order is currently facing... And what better place to do so than in Beirut: the cradle of numerous social, political and economic controversies. Lebanon’s capital is located at the heart of the most afflicted region in the world yet it remains above the conflicts plaguing it, rendering BEYMUN the ideal conference to attend.
BEYMUN 2018 is scheduled to take place from the 13th to the 15th of April 2018.
The conference will be revolve around the theme “Paving Unity, Pioneering Acceptance”. This theme is meant to stimulate the up-coming generations to espouse a more open mindset necessary to address the problems that our world is facing today.
In addition to the exceptional conference experience, Beirut will offer the participating delegates the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the different aspects of Lebanon’s culture and traditions, and meet delegates from all around the world in BEYMUN’s unique cultural hub.
